The Clock Radio started with a simple idea - make a Bluetooth speaker out of an old clock radio. Well I found this lovely thing - a Sony ICF-C713 - at a garage sale and I decided it would be my donor. It's a brilliantly late 90s design. Just look at this:

Can't you just hear a tinny version of Daft Punk's "One More Time" coming out of it? It's wonderful.

Adapting a new board into the internals proved challenging due to the unusual design, but I managed to bring new life to this unique piece of industrial design.
