Modifying the DB-25
connector to remove two pins. First, the outer shell was cut and
separated.
The extra pins were
removed with a soldering iron and brute force. They snap in, but they
definitely did not snap out.
I cut off the extra
plastic with a Dremel. The shell is marked for surgery.
After cutting down the
shell, I test fit it in the Amiga.
The shell was soldered
back together.
And viewed from the other
side. Alignment isn't great, but it works.
I made the RCJ-04X
footprint myself and got the pins backwards. Here I bodged them the
other way around.
