VFS

VFS is a low-budget internet sketch comedy/parody/random humor show that occasionally lapses into a documentary, but on the whole is intended to be good fun. There is cursing of both the tasteful and vulgar variety, but overall, it's suitable for folks who have survived more than a few minutes on the internet. VFS is something like what would happen if the cast of Saturday Night Live suddenly found themselves jobless and started producing their work with a mid-90's Sony Handycam and distributing it on youtube, except that such a product would still have talented writers and comedians (so instead of Saturday Night Live, imagine Mad TV).

The name is derived from a project from long long ago called Radio Free Somethingrather, an internet talk radio show that was just as boring as it sounds. "Somethingrather" is a shortened eggcorn for "Something or other," meant to imply that it had no point. I didn't use an eggcorn in an attempt to be clever — I actually did misunderstand the words in that phrase. Of course, if I had done it correctly, the abbreviation would be VFSOO, which wouldn't be nearly as cool as VFS, now would it?

Unlike the previous iteration of VFS, which was directed and produced largely by me, VFS is now an open project.
